Dear Litel Families,

On behalf of the entire PTA Board, I would like to welcome your family to Gerald F. Litel Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year! We join you in anticipation of an exciting and productive year. This will be my first year as PTA President. I have a 4th grader and a Kindergartener at Litel. I have served as room parent in past years and on the School Site Council last year. I have adult children also, so I have been involved in the school system for many years. This year is really a year of growth and for us all to THRIVE together. Research indicates that parent involvement in elementary school significantly impacts student success, with various studies highlighting the benefits of active parental engagement. I would love all of your help making this school year amazing for our students and staff! We have opportunities that can take just an hour or two a month that will make a huge difference to our school family! All help is appreciated and wanted this year!

What is PTA?

Litel PTA is an organization of parents, family, and teachers. Our vision is to bring cohesion, community, and FUN for all Litel families. We strive for continued parent and family involvement. We want to promote a school community where students, teachers, and administrators can accomplish their best work. We coordinate events which provide fun and enjoyment for all students and their families while building up our Litel Elementary community.

Together with PTA membership dues and fundraising, our organization provides funds for reading and math educational programs such as IXL. Our fundraising events include PTA membership, Fun Run, Spirit Wear, Dine Outs and more! In addition, we proudly fund the following student recognition events such as ROAR, Leaders of the Pride, Student of the Month luncheons, etc. We have many fun family events including Dine Outs, Fall Festival, Holiday Boutique and so much more. We are looking to add even more programs this year and continue to support school improvement. All of these important programs are why your support and contributions are essential and very much appreciated!

We invite all to our first PTA Association meeting on Wednesday, August 20th at 5:30 PM in the Litel MPR. You will learn about our upcoming events, the budget, and ways you can get involved and make 2025-2026 a memorable year.
