Dear Litel Families,

On behalf of the entire PTA Board, welcome to Gerald F. Litel Elementary! We are excited to welcome both new and returning families for what promises to be an amazing 2026–2027 school year.

This is my second year serving as PTA President. I have a fifth grader and a first grader at Litel this year. Over the years I’ve been involved in many ways, including serving as a room parent and as a member of the School Site Council. I also have adult children, so I’ve been part of the school community for many years. Like many of you, I balance a full-time job with being a parent—and now a grandparent—which gives me a deep appreciation for the importance of a strong, supportive school community.

Last year was a year of tremendous growth and positive change for our school. This year, our goal is to AMPLIFY everything we accomplished together and continue building an even stronger Litel community.

Our PTA is committed to supporting our students, staff, and families in every way we can. Research consistently shows that when families are involved in their children’s education, students experience greater academic success, stronger social skills, and a more positive school experience.

We would love for you to be part of that success! Whether you can volunteer for an hour or two each month or take on a larger role, every contribution makes a meaningful difference. There are opportunities for every schedule and every skill level, and all help is truly appreciated.
